About Eaten Alive

Eaten Alive is a publishing venture created by Rachel Mason in 2002. It started out as a zine (Eaten Alive #1 & #2) and gradually developed a publishing project for individual and collaborative books. The books vary from project to project, with the hand crafted quality of an artist book and the energy of a zine. Eaten Alive Books is currently based in Seattle with a studio in the Noodleworks Building in the International District.

Originally from the Midwest, Rachel spends her time making original books and teaching art part-time. (Check out curricula to get an idea of the types of things she likes to teach.) Her vision as an educator is to promote art education, media literacy and self-publishing for youth and for our future.
