Walking around in the French Quarter

This was my first visit to the French Quarter. It's definitely an artist's neighborhood with a heavy dose of drinking establishments, tourist shops, and a pretty wild history. Most of the buildings are structurally intact and most businesses are open. Here's some of the things I saw:

Some stencil street art.

A "historic" sign posted on a door.

The amount of alcohol advertising in NOLA right now is unprecedented. This is one of the worst ads I saw and I'm pretty sure I'll never drink Absolut vodka again because of it.

Lots of handmade signs hang in windows:

This truck has three stickers on it; two say "Support Our Troops" and the purple and green one says "Katrina Survivor".
