Pictures of New Orleans, March 2006 T-Shirt Designs About Katrina It was pretty crazy to walk around the French Quarter and see all the tourist shops selling T-shirts about Katrina. I thought this was pretty good reflection of how diverse feelings about the hurricane are. They're pretty blunt designs and cover alot of gray area. (Keep in mind, I am not endorsing all of these t-shirts designs, I am just presenting what I experienced.) A pretty straightforward message:
About FEMA:
About the New Orleans Police Department:
Ray Nagin, the current mayor of New Orleans said on national television, "New Orleans is a chocolate city". His plea was for help to bring the displaced African American New Orleanians back to their homes. (Personally, I think it was cry for help. The man clearly has lost perspective, respect, and his mind on national tv. He is in no position to lead a city and should probably take a break and pass the job off to someone with a little more prespective and vision.) Ray Nagel is running for re-election right now. This t-shirt shows what a confusing comment this was and how white folks can insult black folks and themselves at the same time:
Appealing to nice bar-goers:
Again a simple message for Bush & his administration:
