GUIDE TO VANCOUVER, CANADA
So I've only spent a short weekend in Vancouver,
but it was long enough to realize this is a great city. The apartment
buidlings look luxurious, there's a beach downtown and a nearby mountain.I
think it was Douglas Coupland who called Vancouver "the Miami of
Canada".
Hopefully I will make it back there soon
and report more great finds.

2 places you should go to Eat:
Guu 1698 Robson Street
I have never been to a Japanese restaurant like this before! It was amazing-
delicious homestyle Japanese food- Izakaya (tapas style). Tataki, okonomi
yaki (Japanese pancakes/crepes), oden, and korokke. My friend, Yosuke
(who is from Japan) confirmed Guu's authencity and quality. The plates
are small and inexpensive and the place seems to be run by 18-year-old
Japanese kids.I dream about the day a Guu opens in Seattle
Vij's 1480 West 11th
Although Vij's is a little bit out of the way, doesn't take reservations,
and the wait is forever, it's still worth it. Upscale Indian food like
I've never had before. The spices, textures, and presentation were outstanding.
